Hare
Hare
The common field hare has repeatedly demanded its iconographic place in art and literature with large steps and what appears to be a specific form of naivety. Famous representatives of the species going by the names of Bugs Bunny, Charly, Peter and Roger Rabbit as media stars replaced the anonymous icons of Dürer and Van Gogh. The footsteps of the cute hares can also be traced over many decades at the Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg. Luise Terletzki-Scherf‘s hare that is twelve centimetres in height from 1932 ranks among the most imaginative portrayals of its species.
