For the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina we again drew from traditional motives to create a series of different fixtures, ranging from the main chandeliers to small pendants.
This chandelier bears the typical satellite elements of large frosted glass vessels decorated with traditional motives as well as quotations of the Quran. The blue inscriptions are complemented by blue glass balls on the suspending rods. This common feature serves as a kind of bracket to unite all the different fixtures.
The main Belt is made of cast brass plates with elaborate pictograms from the Quran.
These fixtures are copied by most chandelier producers though others only sand-blast these verses.
